This is the maquette for the next project I have been
commissioned to create by the Miami Valley Firefighter/EMS Memorial Association. It will be installed in Stubbs Park in Centerville, OH, adjacent to the amphitheatre.
The large triangular form will be 15 ft. high, 18 ft. on a side. It will be painted steel and the silhouette of the Fire Fighter will be cut into bright anealed aluminium tread plate, as is found on many fire trucks. The cut-out of the Fire Fighter will be installed several feet behind the silhouette. The names of 58 fallen Fire Fighters will be attached to the FIRE WALL with space for future fallen heros.
Various symbols of fire fighting history will be
included, along with the fire fighter symbol emblazoned in brick in the
center of the precinct. The 10 ft. triangle will include the names of the 9 Miami Valley Counties represented and the 7 ft. triangle will include the names of the donors.
